Abstract
There is presented the example of the separate determination of the dynamic viscosity of structuredboundary lawyers in the lubricant material of non-hydrodynamic nature in the period ofstart-up and the general dynamic effective viscosity at stabilization of tribological parametersin the contact. General legitimacy established during the long-term investigations of mineraland synthetic oils for hydro-mechanical transmissions is increasing effective viscosity of theadsorption boundary layers, reduction the gradient of shear stress of lubricant materials on theactivated by friction contact surfaces and obtaining properties of non-Newtonian fluids. It wasdetermined that the high shear gradients oil layer during breaking-in and increasing the temperaturein contact zone caused decreasing of the general dynamic effective viscosity of lubricantmaterials at operating time.
