Abstract

City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects are gas-pipeline networks which enable transport gas as piped natural gas (PNG) for domestic and industrial consumers. These networks have an impact in decreasing the footprint in transporting fuel. Several districts in India have been approved for CGD, with a portion of them being finished. Development of the distribution networks for accessible PNG involves commercial and safety requirements, and environmental regulations and designing them in developing metropolises have several obstacles like population and congestion on roads. The presented work was generated on basis of an existing PNG network of a metropolis. The network was studied with AVEVA PIPEPHASE Pipeline Simulator by adding the necessary inputs to the network architecture to observe for any unconformities.
