Abstract

AbstractThe paper presents a kinematic model for a human upper limb that provides data for estimating the muscle force using Hill’s model for the muscle force. In order to determine the force developed by human arm, we have measured the elongation and the contractions of the model of the muscle and the shortening velocities that are input data in the Hill model. The model enables to compare the magnitude of the muscle of a normal upper limb to a disabled one.KeywordsMuscle ForceContraction VelocityMuscle Tendon UnitMuscle ModelMuscle Specific TensionThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
