Abstract

Objective To estimate the survival time of patients with advanced gastrointestinal tumors based on their condition evaluation form and establish a graded need hospice nursing model to improve their quality of life. Methods Totally 110 patients with advanced gastrointestinal tumors were selected and equally divided into observation group and control group by random number table. Patients in the control group received conventional clinical nursing and psychological nursing, while patients in the observation group received graded need nursing based on their condition evaluation results and conventional nursing. Then their psychological distress, life meaning and nursing quality were compared. Results There were no statistically significant differences between the patients in the two groups in psychological distress and life meaning at admission (P>0.05) ; After the intervention, the psychological distress score of the patients in the observation group was (5.21±2.13) , which was significantly lower than that of the patients in the control group (t=-2.296, P=0.020) , which was (6.11±2.27) ; The life meaning score of the patients in the observation group was (106.52±8.31) , which was higher than that of the patients in the control group (t=2.233, P=0.025) , which was (101.78±13.27) , and there were statistically significant differences between the two groups in life responsibility, distress bearing and death acceptance (P<0.05) ; The satisfaction to nursing service and need processing rate of the patients in the observation group were higher than those of the patients in the control group, and the incidence of adverse events was lower than that of the patients in the control group (P<0.05) . Conclusions The estimate of the survival time of patients with advanced gastrointestinal tumors based on the condition evaluation form and the graded need nursing can effectively improve their quality of life, and achieve better nursing purposes for them.
