Abstract

The purpose of this article is to understand the way in which Julien Green (re)constructs, in Ce qu’il faut d’amour à l’homme, his own itinerary of conversion. The author tries to give meaning to a life he wants to bring into line with his Catholic faith, combining, within a single narrative, the Holy Scriptures and his sexuality – a combination which is made possible by the way he interprets, personally, the sacrament of Eucharist.
