Amine-alkoxycarbonylboranes, amine BH 2 CO 2 R (amine=trimethylamine, methylamine, N-methylmorpholine, pyridine, and diisopropyl (methylamino)methylphosphonate; R=methyl, ethyl, propyl, allyl, and 2-methylpropyl) were prepared in high yield by reacting the amine-carboxyborane with a trialkyl orthoformate in the presence of diethyl ether-boron trifluorate complex as a catalyst
