Abstract
We report the preparation of soluble ester- functionalized single-wall carbon nanotubes (sSWNT-COO(CH2)17CH3). By use of solution phase IR spectroscopy we are able to compare the ratio of the carbon atoms in the SWNT backbone to the carbon atoms in the ester and amide functionalities of s-SWNTs.
