Abstract

Lymphoblastoid cell lines infected with Theileria parva were established from lymph node biopsy samples from 4 out of 5 cattle reacting with East Coast fever when homologous feeder layers of bovine embryonic spleen cells were used. Only one cell line infected with Theileria parva was established without the use of a feeder layer.
