Abstract

Objective To establish human hemangioma model by injecting subcutaneously hemangioma endotheliar cells(HemECs)into SCID mice. Methods HemECs were resuspended in Matrigel basement membrane matrix, the cells/gel(1.3×106 cells/200μl per animal)mixtures were then injected subcutaneously into the back of the SCID mice, and the tumor volume was measured at 2nd, 15th, and 45th day in vitro.Mice were sacrificed and samples were taken from survived tumor and stained immunohistochemically by CD31 and CD34 before subjected to histopathological examination at 45th day. Results After cells were injected, the tumor volume at 2nd, 15th, and 45th day was(13.36±2.09),(49.85±8.24), and(366.57±17.08)mm3 respectively. The original tumor histological features were retained in the transplanted tumor. Conclusion It is reliable to establish human hemangioma model by injected subcutaneously HemECs into SCID mice. Key words: Hemangioma endotheliar cells; Model
