Abstract

A computerized data base on dielectric materials has been established at the Center for Information and Numerical Data Analysis and Synthesis (CINDAS) of Purdue University under the sponsorship of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). This is a comprehensive, on-line, interactive, menu-driven, user-friendly, intelligent data base. It provides commercial and applications data as well as material property data and other technical data. This data base is continuously being expanded and updated so that it will eventually contain all the available reliable important data and information on all important dielectric liquids, gases, solids, and combinations and composites thereof. The development, operation, function, scope, contents, and other features of this data base are presented and discussed.
