Abstract
We summarise the development of clinical psychology training at the University of Dhaka from 1995 to the present. It was based on two principles: That it would be sustainable in the long-term, and that it would based on evidence-based practice. The project was initially supported by the UK Overseas Development Agency. We highlight the challenges and successes of creating within Bangladesh a new profession of clinical psychology.
