Abstract

In view of the current lack of a mature plateau aviation search and rescue system both in China and internationally, this paper summarizes the existing organizational system and rescue equipment of China’s plateau search and rescue aircraft through the analysis of typical aircraft out-of-connection incidents occurring in helicopters operating in the plateau in western China. And major issues such as personnel and materials, from institutional mechanisms to specific fleet construction, equipment personnel and materials construction, service assurance and safety culture construction, etc., suggestions were made to improve the ability of civil aviation to search and rescue missing aircraft in high mountain areas.
