Abstract

Wegner's statement (1980), that the asymptotic form G(E) varies as (E-Ec)- gamma (with Ec real) of the averaged retarded Green's function (of an electron in a random potential) entails necessarily gamma 1 cannot be excluded. The effect of thermodynamic limit on the analytical properties of G(E) is discussed.
