Abstract
Within the framework of this article, various scientific views on the role of innovations in the activation of innovative activities of enterprises and the study of theoretical aspects of the formation of the economic category "innovative potential of the enterprise" analyzed. It has established that innovative potential is one of the key categories of innovative entrepreneurship theory. It recommended considering innovative potential as a complex system of effective use of enterprise resources and a set of intellectual capabilities of its employees, necessary for the creation, implementation and distribution of new ideas, technologies and products, which will contribute to obtaining the desired profits in the long term. It established that the basis of the innovative potential is the various resources of the enterprise (material and immaterial), which can be used in innovative activities. However, the effective operation of the enterprise occurs under the condition of the interaction of the intellectual capabilities of the enterprise's employees with its resources. The subjective conditions for the application and transformation of resources are the abilities of the company's employees, necessary for the implementation of innovative activities, the objective conditions are the processes of attracting and processing resources to realize the abilities of the employees and the economic capabilities of the company in the innovative sphere. In such conditions, innovations are embodied in the specific goods (services) of the enterprise, which are able to satisfy the demand on the market, taking into account the demand supported by the purchasing power. It established that the innovative potential of the enterprise is a complex system with a certain internal structure and characteristics. The proposed structure of innovation potential, which takes into account the resource component, the internal component and the effective component.
