Abstract

Abstract Detailed field and micropaleontologic investigations of outcrops along a north-south section across the Tell region, Algeria, from the eastern Ouarsenis massif through the Cheliff basin to the Miliana massif, show that the zone of complex structures is overthrust relative to the zone in which Cretaceous and overlying Miocene formations have been subjected to broad folding and in which Triassic diapirs are absent.
