Abstract

AbstractThe ESR and optical absorption spectra of four transition metal complexes, copper (II) dichloroacetate, copper (II) trichloroacetate, copper (II) cyanoacetate, and copper (II) N‐acetyl methioninate were recorded at room temperature in powder and solution, and at liquid nitrogen temperature (LNT) in frozen solution with DMF or DMSO as solvent. The g‐parmeters and hyperfine constants were obtained from the spectra. Using optical and ESR data, the covalency factor has also been calculated.
