Abstract

In pyro-graphite bombarded with high energy chlorine ions, two kinds of paramagnetic centers are observed by ESR. These centers are interpreted as conduction carriers in a sample containing a large amount of acceptors produced by the bombardment and localized spin centers in an amorphous state. It is proposed that the transition from conduction carriers to localized spin centers will be studied in detail by high energy ton bombardments.
