Abstract

Abstract ESR measurements have been made on Y-Ba-Cu-O, La-(Sr, Ba)-Cu-O systems and La2CuO4, together with the magnetic susceptibility measurement. The ESR signal in a good superconductor of the Y-Ba-Cu-O system could not be observed except for a very weak signal associated with Cu2+ ions of impurity phases. No ESR signals were also observed in the La-(Sr, Ba)-Cu-O system. These results are consistent with the essentially temperature-independent susceptibility in Y-Ba-Cu-O and La-(Sr, Ba)-Cu-O.
