Abstract

Since the skin is the largest organ of the body, and having the function of a barrier between the external and internal environment and about 30% of the affections that occur in small animals are skin, we have the fibroadnexal hamartoma is considered a benign neoplasm, characterized by excessive growth. of cells and its composition is exclusively formed of normal tissue structures, deviated from their natural morphology. They are visible and common lesions in the canine epithelium, presenting as solitary, firm and delimited nodules, but the etiology of these lesions is still somewhat uncertain. The report is the case of an eleven-year-old female Labrador breed, where the tutor noticed a fast-growing nodule in the lower costal region. The recommended treatment was surgical removal with a safety margin and the removed sample was packaged and sent to the laboratory for biopsy and subsequent confirmation of the diagnosis.
