Abstract

The assessments of the web sites of tourism establishments provide a positive result about different kinds of managements for the customers who plan to go on a holiday by using the cyber world. A web site designed effectively differs that management from others and makes it chosen. In this study, it has been aimed to determine in what size the tourism establishments in Erzurum use information technologies, which features there are in available web sites and whether the web site features change or not according to the type of the establishment. The method of the research is content analysis and it is a descriptive study. Standard Web Site Rating Scale, formed by Mills and Morrison (2002) about the use of web sites in tourism and service sector, has been benefited from. At the end of the analysis, it has been determined that the web sites of tourism establishments in Erzurum getting 107,54 point offer an average picture with a rate of %41,04. It has been put forward that essential reformations should be made especially in marketing effectiveness and travel planning categories
