Polycythemia can cause erythromelalgia, which should be treated with aspirin.Primary aldosteronism causes secondary erythropoiesis through activation of the renin-aldosterone system, but the mechanism is not clear.Erythropoiesis may be promoted by concurrent primary aldosteronism and polycythemia vera, resulting in secondary erythromelalgia.
