Abstract
A patient with systemic lupus erythematosus presented with red cell aplasia. Her anemia responded to prednisone therapy. The occurrence of red cell aplasia in association with a variety of immune phenomena lends support to the concept that in systemic lupus erythematosus also, erythroid aplasia may be of immune etiology.
