Abstract
I would like to draw readers' attention to one further aspect of the paper by Duck et al. (1980) in the July edition of this Journal. Not only does this pre-magnetization pulse cause errors in quality-control measurements, but it also increases the radiation dose to the patient without improving the quality of the radiograph.
