Abstract

In the new generation of integrated modular avionics system, the onboard software adopts an open distributed architecture, in which modules share a variety of common resources, and interact with each other complicatedly, resulting in a module failure is easy to spread, thus the reliability of airborne software could reduced. The analysis, measurement and improvement of airborne software have become an important issue to be resolved. In this paper, based on the characteristics of airborne distributed software, an AADL based error modeling and reliability analysis method is proposed, which focused on airborne distributed software. With the critical information in AADL architecture model, the AADL error model is generated to describe the airborne distributed software failure behavior. On the basis of this step, sensitivity analysis method is used to analyze system reliability. Thus the designers can found key modules that affect system reliability in the early stages of development, providing the improvement of system reliability with the decision-making basis.
