Abstract

TO THE EDITOR: We appreciate recent correspondence from Dr. Tada et al. (the Kyoto group) regarding our recent article on endoscopic management of biliary complications after living donor liver transplantation (LDLT). Our initial success rate of endoscopic management of biliary strictures after LDLT (71%, 12 of 17 patients) seems to be comparable to that by the Kyoto group (68%, 54 of 80 patients) (1). As stated in their correspondence, however, there is a considerable difference in the strategy for endoscopic management of biliary strictures between the two institutions.
