The text reads: NICE1 recommends that methotrexate should be the first-line management for women who are able to return for follow-up and who have: no significant pain an unruptured ectopic pregnancy with a mass smaller than 35 mm with no visible heartbeat a serum β-hCG between 1500 and 5000 iu/l no intrauterine pregnancy (as confirmed on ultrasound scan).
