On page 674 (lines 5–8) a segment of text was erroneously elided and has been reinserted. The text now reads: ‘Michel Agiers (2002) calls them city-camps (campes-villes) and hypothesizes them as novel socio-spatial forms that mimic urban parameters of heterogeneities, sociabilities, identity politics and so forth. In contrast, I suggest that these are spaces that often temporally extend in ways that they transform into ‘permanent’ sites within the city.’ This correction has been made to the online version only.
