Since the publication of the article Boavida & Germain (2009)Identification and pest status of two exotic flea beetle species newly introduced in Portugal: Epitrix similaris Gentner and Epitrix cucumeris (Harris) it has been brought to our attention that an error occurred during publication of this paper and that the figure legends for 2 figures were reversed. The corrected line of the article referring to the figures is printed below along with the 2 figures in question with the corrected figure legends. The journal would like to apologise for this error. Page 504 last paragraph In the male E. similaris, the apex of the median lobe of the aedeagus is narrowed in a regular curve and its final part is blunted (Figs 9 & 10). In the male E. cucumeris the apex of the median lobe of the aedeagus is narrowed in a more abrupt way and appears spatulate (Fig 11 & 12) (Doguet 2009).
