AbstractThe name Dillenia indica L. has been typified on t. 38 from Rheede’s Hortus Malabaricus. Unfortunately the illustration number was erroneously cited as “t. 39”. Therefore, the type citation on p. 788 should read as follows:Dillenia indica L., Sp. Pl.: 535. 1753 – Lectotype (designated here): [illustration] “Syalita” in Rheede, Hort. Malab. 3: t. 38. 1682.We would like to thank Dr. D.K. Singh, Former Scientist G, Botanical Survey of India for pointing out the error in type citation.
