Abstract

In an article in the March 2000 issue (Asnis DS, Conetta R, Teixeira AA, Waldman G, Sampson BA. The West Nile virus outbreak of 1999 in New York: the Flushing Hospital experience. Clin Infect Dis 2000; 30:413–8), there is an error in the first sentence of the Acknowledgments. Drs. M. Layton and A. Fine work for the New York City Department of Health (not the New York State Department of Health). The corrected sentence should read as follows: “We wish to thank Drs. M. Layton and A. Fine and the New York City Department of Health, as well as Drs. L. Grady and S. Wong and the New York State Department of Health.” Also, in the seventh sentence of this article, a citation of reference [8] was omitted. The sentence should read “… seroprevalence ranges from 6% in schoolchildren to 40% in young adults [3, 8].”
