Abstract

The following article analyzes the German discourse about vocational orientation along with findings from vocational choice theory to identify relevant stakeholders and measures of vocational orientation in secondary schools. An integrative review analyzes and collects the results of the empirical research regarding these aspects. It allows to infer a basic concept for the organization and practical implementation of vocational orientation in secondary schools. Furthermore, the article provides an overview about the state of current research along. This overview can help to avoid redundancies in future research and to focus on the existing blind spots instead.
