Abstract
The growing number of electronic systems and functions in vehicles is changing conventional driving patterns. At the same time the vehicle’s human machine interface is becoming ever more important and complex. Siemens VDO Automotive is therefore developing innovative control elements for vehicle cockpits. The following article looks at the current status of this ongoing process, and discusses the premises underlying the development efforts and what solutions are being pursued.
