Abstract

“Middle childhood” takes place primarily in the experiential spaces of family, elementary school and peer group, each of which is influenced by social media applications in the digital age. The implementation of children’s statutory rights, such as the right to participation or the right to protection from violence, is critically examined for the spaces of experience outlined and conditions for success are formulated.
