Abstract

Abstract Louise Erdrich is a prolific award‐winning author of Native American literature in various genres. Her best‐known novel is Love Medicine (1984), which is part of a series of novels. Her work focuses on families living in the northern plains area and of Métis, Ojibwe, and German descent. The themes of history and blood are central to much of her work.
