Abstract

Based on the transmission line method, the complicated electromagnetic field problem of a nonlinear waveguide can be transformed to a circuit problem. By the transversal resonance technique the eigen-equation governing the waveguide system is obtained. The TE modes propagating along the nonlinear planar waveguide are investigated. The dependence of the total power flow on the mode index and the transversal electric field distribution at different power flow are presented.
