Abstract
As an alternative solution for fluctuation in generation output from renewables, the authors propose combined heat-pump and biogas engine generator system (CHBS). Major distinguishing idea of CHBS is to hybridize two heat supply devices, heat pump (HP) and biogas engine generator (BG). Adequate control of HP and BG enables the apparent energy storage function. In this paper, concept of theoretical equivalent energy storage capability is proposed. Estimated equivalent capability is numerically validated through computer simulation based on the actual wind farm output data.
