Abstract
A basic equivalent circuit of the piezoelectric vibratory gyroscopic sensor is derived, and is extended to another circuit by which the effect of extra force factors caused by the shear in adhesion of piezoelectric ceramics can be evaluated. New circuits for reducing the effect are proposed, and are checked experimentally. It is also shown that an applied angular velocity can be estimated not only by measuring the amplitude of the output but also by measuring its phase shift. Finally, the principle of the vibratory gyro used as an angular sensor is explained with a simple dynamic example.
