Abstract

An equivalent circuit model for positive/negative reflection-type SAW reflectors is presented. Circuit parameters can be theoretically determined by applying the finite-element method to an infinite array. To show the validity and usefulness of this model, examples are computed for the positive/negative reflection-type reflector utilizing electrical loading by shorted and open metal-strips on a 128° Y-X LiNbO3 substrate. The computed results agree well with the experimental results.
