Abstract
The wireless communication networks are evolving with access point closer. The exposure induced by these access points is often assessed with a plane wave assumption. This communication presents the assessment of the exposure induced in a 8-year-old girl numerical model by a Femto antenna. This exposure is assessed using the equivalent principle through a ”Huygens box” matching the incident field emitted by a Femto antenna, described by Spherical Modes description to the numerical Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method. The error made on the Whole Body SAR by approximating the Femto radiation by an equivalent Plane Wave is assessed for different distances separating the anatomical model and the Femto antenna.
