Abstract

The authors report that equipment has been developed and a technology for the coil drawing of steel fuel-line pipe on a self-adjusting mandrel. The production section includes a coil draw bench with a horizontal drum, an AVSh-40 machine for pointing the tube ends and mechanically feeding and rotating the coiled tube during drawing, and an I/PHI/ 35E machine for uncoiling, straitening, and cutting the finished tubes. After boring, repair, and inspection, the hot-rolled semifinished product is subjected to cold reduction, first on a KhPT-90 mill and then on a KhPT-55 mill. The most efficient method of producing fuel-line pipe is coil drawing on drum-type mills using self-adjusting mandrels an all transistions.
