Abstract
We consider a system of parallel layers of a metallic spin glass (such as CuMn) of width w separated by nonmagnetic layers (Cu) of width l. Within the context of a oneparameter renormalization group description we derive scaling laws for the critical temperature as a function of w and l, and for the correlation length as a function of w, l, and the temperature T. An essential role is played by a crossover length scale L cr beyond which the interlayer coupling becomes important. This static study is a preliminary to the study of dynamic phenomena in layered spin glasses
