Abstract
The problem of calculating the quantum corrections to the thermodynamic properties of a binary mixture of nonadditive hardspheres is studied. Numerical results are given for the first order quantum correction to the excess pressure and to the excess free energy. It is found that the ‘‘excess’’ quantum effect increases with the increasing density and increasing Δ the nonadditive parameter. A significant feature is that the excess quantum effect becomes negative with decrease of Δ and increase of density, when Δ<O.
