Equilibrium Phase Diagram of the Ag—Au—Pb Ternary System.

Abstract

Abstract The phase diagram of the ternary system Ag–Au–Pb has been established using differential thermal analysis and X-ray powder diffraction analysis. Four vertical sections were studied: X Pb = 0.40, X Au / X Pb = 1/3, X Ag / X Au = 4/1 and X Ag / X Au = 1/1. Two ternary transitory peritectics and one ternary eutectic were characterized. A schematic representation of the ternary equilibria is given.
