Abstract

UDC 539.3 We consider the equilibrium of elastic wedge with a semiinfinite crack along the axis of symmetry. The crack edges undergo the action of normal point forces. Using the Wiener–Hopf method, we construct the exact solutions with and without conditions for the absence of a rotation at infinity. The stress intensity factors, distribution of normal stresses on the crack extension line, and normal displacements of the crack edges are found.
