Abstract Results are presented for pure-helium models in complete equilbrium within the mass range 0.3 < < 1.35. The models are double valued with respect to mass whereas the central density p is monotonic. We find nuclear-driven pulsational instability for models with p > 2 X 10 g ( / > 0.33) and having periods less than 40 sec. Hydrogen-rich envelopes are added to some models for realism, which further reduces maximum periods (for instability) to 20 sec or less. Some discussion is included to argue against the higher-density models representing reasonable stellar objects.
