Abstract
Abstract The complex formation reaction between crown ethers and bivalent transition metal ions was investigated. Although the obtained equilibrium constants were generally small, there was a case where the constant was larger than that for the crown ether–alkali metal system. From kinetic studies the reactions were found to obey the Eigen’s mechanism.
