Abstract
Ternary phases of the composition RNiZn, RPdZn, RPdCd and RCuCd (R=rare earth) have been prepared and their structures investigated. We found that the majority of these compounds adopt the structure of the Fe 2P or the ZrNiAl type. Structural data are reported and briefly discussed.
