Abstract

Semiempirical equations of state are obtained for copper, silver, gold, lead, nickel, and aluminum, which permit a study of the mechanical properties of the crystalline lattices of these metals when subjected to a complex system of stresses over the entire elastic deformation region, and lead to an evaluation of the mechanical destruction parameters of these lattices. As an example, the case of omnidirectional tension is examined.
