Abstract
A 2-channel time-interleaved (TI) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) consists of 2 individual ADCs operating in parallel in order to increase the sampling frequency by a factor of 2. Although this approach seems to be very straightforward in order to increase the sampling rate; performance requirements cannot be met due to offset, gain and sampling-time mismatches in independent ADCs. In this paper, a 2-channel TI ADC equalization method developed in order to minimize spectral effects of mentioned mismatches is presented. Furthermore, results of the mentioned equalization method on a real high speed 2-channel TI ADC data are presented.
