Abstract

Objectives: Exercise intolerance and peripheral muscle dysfunction are important consequence of cystic fibrosis (CF) Systemic inflammation, oxidative stress, physical inactivity are responsible for decreased exercise capacity and impaired muscle function. A newly myokine called irisin seem to increased oxygen consumption and energy supply. This study was aimed to investigate the relationship between irisin serum concentration with exercise capacity and muscle function in children with CF.
